Puppy mills are where mother dogs are forced to have babies, so that the puppies can be sold to pet sellers. Puppy mills facilities are cruel to the mother dogs, because they live their whole lives in cramped cases.

Many Dogs come from Puppy Mills
The picture over here^ is of STEP's furry companion, Aurther. He was adopted from a dog breeder before being put into the humane society, where STEP adopted him. Many breeders get their dogs from puppy mills, and we have a feeling that Aurther's mother had to endure this harsh treatment.
Where is your Dog from?
“I am a puppy mill survivor. I had lived in a cage my whole life. I had never known love, a soft bed, or a toy. I had never run in free grass or romped in the snow. I had never felt kind, loving hands, or sat in a warm lap. Until today. Today everything will change. You see, today I was rescued. I will soon have a family who loves me. I will sleep on blankets and play with toys. I will play outside and go on walks. I will end the day snuggled up to my adopter, and hear the words 'I love you.' I will no longer be a puppy mill survivor. I will be a dog. A cherished pet. A member of a family. All because I was rescued” -National Dog Mill Rescue on Pinterest
You can always ask breeders where they got their dogs. Don't buy dogs that came from puppy mills - you are only supporting the mother's poor treatment.
Donate to Dog Rescuers
Donating is a great way to help puppies in the puppy mill facility. The Humane Society is a place where you can donate to save the mother dogs. They could really use your help and donation Want to get other people to help? Start a fundraiser! Click here to learn tips and tricks on starting a fundraiser.
